Charlotte Spencer Projects draws together a broad range of exceptional artists from the fields of choreography, dance, music, performance, visual art, writing and the environment. Movement in its many manifestations is at the core of all of our work. Through each artistic project, we strive to build community by inviting people to re-encounter themselves in relationship to their lives and their environment. We have a working ethos of developing long-standing truthful collaborations with every artist working on each project which are born out of deep respect and trust.
Charlotte launched a Patrons Scheme in August 2010 to support the development of Charlotte Spencer Projects. So far the scheme has raised over £13,000, enabling the creation of 2 research projects, 3 new artistic works and supporting the on-going running costs of CSP. In this time, the reputation, profile and scale of each project has grown rapidly. In tandem, the funding CSP has received from arts organisations, national and international funding bodies has grown exponentially. We rely on the generosity of individuals through our Patrons Scheme both to generate funds to support new work directly, and also to unlock substantial additional funding from bodies like the Arts Council.
The Arts have a long history of patronage. This continues today and helps artists to achieve their artistic potential. We would like to invite you to be more closely involved in our on-going work by becoming a patron. If you believe in our vision of making contemporary dance accessible to a wider audience, please consider helping to support our work.
