Re-visiting Glasgow – Is this a Waste Land?

Join us on Saturday 6th October in Glasgow

Last year we presented Is this a Waste Land? on the old Larkfield Bus Depot as part of Dance International Glasgow 2017. Audiences who attended the performance were seen wearing headphones, moving in and out of sync with each other while carrying long bamboo poles, making and destroying structures out of plastic and metal and wooden waste materials. It was moving and thought provoking, and fun.

On Saturday 6th October the team behind Is this a Waste Land? are returning to Glasgow to revisit the site, reconnect with the local community and beyond, remember and share our experiences and create new ones in an informal event to which you are invited.

Saturday 6th October 2018
2 – 4pm
Meeting point: Larkfield Bus Depot

It will be an afternoon of performance, reflection, conversation and sharing. We are keen to know more about the local area, personal histories of the site, memories of the local landscape as it has changed and your relationship with it. We’d also like to share some of our thoughts and questions that came up during the process of making that performance. Everyone is welcome.

Please book your space by e-mailing keren@charlottespencerprojects.org

There will be a donation box at the end of the event to help covering our costs.

We will walk from our designated meeting point to Tramway. Please bring a jacket as we will be outdoors for the duration. Meet us from 1.45pm at the old Larkfield Bus Depot on the junction of Victoria Road and Butterbiggins Road, Glasgow G42 7AA.
