Cycle Stories uses local parks as the ‘stage’ – looking at journey, story, place and people. Currently in development, Cycle Stories will be a fully participatory choreographed audio walk where the audience are the performers, spectators, makers. With mp3 players and headphones each person follows aural instructions and listens to sound that heightens their experience of the environment that they are moving through. In this workshop, we will be playing with different draft versions of Cycle Stories and use this as the starting point to brainstorm and experiment with new approaches to dance, creativity, site-specific work. This workshop is an active and integral part of my research. No formal dance experience required just interest, enthusiasm and curiosity!
Wear warm and comfortable clothing suitable for being outdoors
